I told my subjects that dogs were no longer allowed in this historic porch, where in the distant past, - Trinity, Bruno, Kiel, Cloud, Shiara, Haiti romped here. One after the other, we have to bid them goodbye. It broke my heart everytime. One past twilight, I came home with a fuzzy fog colored pup curled on the floor. I was met by a pair of almond eyes. They were transparent light blue - like a liquid moonbeam from a blue moon. Beautiful. Gentle. But  he looked through me. I reminded my son of the rules, and he promised that he would keep him in my queendom for at least three days. He said that it was given to him by a friend. The flower heads bobbed up and down with the rhythm of the falling rain.  The droplets carefully sluiced through the petal folds. They breathed with the rain that brought freshness in their system. The colors lost some of their luster as their papery texture got soggy. But they stayed calm and beautiful. I watched the flowers got drenched. They weathered the storm. And so do we. Dorothy Frances Gurney I wandered through a garden and came upon a vine of red cherry tomatoes! The berries hang  fresh and succulent.  Tomatoes are good for the heart. The red pigment called lycopene is a powerful antioxidant. They are enriched with vitamins A and C, and the antioxidant, anthocyanin. Tomato is the ovary part of the plant, hence it is a fruit.
